AI Proficiency Diagnostic Prep
Open course · choose any lessonPassing an AI proficiency assessment is less about memorizing terms and more about demonstrating judgment: knowing what to ask, what to check, and what to build. This prep course organizes that judgment into six parts that mirror how proficiency is actually tested.
Prompt Mastery drills the fundamentals — structure, context, constraints, and iteration — until writing a strong prompt is reflex rather than luck. Technical Understanding gives you the working model behind the answers: how these systems are trained, why they hallucinate, what context windows and tokens really mean, and which limits are fundamental versus temporary. Practical Application moves the skills into real work: documents, data, drafting, and analysis under realistic conditions.
Critical Evaluation is the part most people underestimate. You practice auditing AI output — spotting invented facts, weak reasoning, and confident nonsense — because assessments consistently reward the person who catches the error, not the one who writes the fanciest prompt. Workflow Design covers turning single wins into repeatable processes, and Systems Building closes with the frontier: agents, skills, and harnesses, explained plainly enough to answer questions about them with confidence.
Work through the six parts in order, do the practice honestly, and you will walk into any proficiency assessment with the two things that matter: a working model of how AI behaves, and proof to yourself that you can direct it.
